Gopala (Sr.) - Born April 2020, Deceased March 2021
Gopala was high energy, but docile and friendly bull. He used to walk inside the house and nuzzle with us. He understood everything we told him and he was just a sweetheart. His loss shook the Iyer family at our roots!
Surabhi -Born June 2020
Surabhi was brought from a small farm in South Chandler when she was ~ 5 months old. She is the Queen of Surabhi Goshala and essentially a house cow. She understand every emotion of each member of the Iyer family and several others. She is very protective of her herd, which includes the Iyer family. She knows she is the boss but listens to everything that the members of Iyer family tell her. She is Mahalakshmi, but she is also the daughter of Iyer family. She had her first baby on May 29th 2023. It was a baby bull and we named him Gopala Jr (in memory of the Gopala Sr.).
Gonatha -Born September 2020
Gonatha was brought from the same farm in Cave Creek where Gopala Sr. was brought from when he was ~7 months old. He is sweet heart and a personification of a majectic bull and exactly looks like Lord Shiva’s Nandi. He is the biggest in Surabhi Goshala, docile, but due to his massive size and strength everyone keeps a distance from him. He is playful which makes it more dangerous as he can hurt
Gopala (Jr) - Born April 29th 2023
Gopala was born premature and weak, but within 4 days he was running around the farm. He is the most affectionate and loves to interact with people. He is very communicative with his different types of “Mooos” depending on what he wants and from whom. When he was born he looked like father Gonatha, but as he grew older he started to more like Gopala(Sr.), a miracle of sorts!
Lakshmi - Born in April 2023 in Prescott, AZ
Lakshmi was born in April 2023 at a small farm in Prescott, AZ. She came to Surabhi Goshala in January 2024 to be a partner for Gopala Jr. The smallest of all of them and the most skittish as well. She is very timid and shy and prefers people not going close to her. Her best friend in Nandhini.
Nandhini - Born on April 27th 2024
Nandhini (a heifer) was born in the presence of Sandeep and Sivanesan. A darling from day one, she is a carbon copy of her mother. She is the sweetest one and loves to play with her best friend Lakshmi.
Radha - Born on February 27th 2025
Radha is the new addition to the Goshala and she is very adorable. More details about her will be added here
